UPDATE! We are live! Our online fundraising auction is open for bidding! New items are being added all the time! Donations being accepted throughout the auction! Auction runs from Sunday November 1 at noon to Sunday November 22. at noon! You don’t have to be a member to bid! Register now and start bidding! Great Christmas shopping options to be found!
UPDATE: Wow! Already a few great items have been donated for our upcoming online auction…a canoe, a mountain bike club membership, a painting by a local artist! But we are hoping for a whole lot more! So please consider showcasing your craftsmanship by donating a homemade item, purchasing and donating a commercially produced (new only!) item, or offering an experience that someone or a group will enjoy.
ALSO: Opps! We forgot to give a big shout out to Big Thunder Nordic Ski Club who will be collaborating with us for this online fundraising auction! Thanks!
ORIGINAL MESSAGE: We know it’s been an interesting (and sometimes down right stressful) 7+ months but the board of directors, staff and volunteers of Thunder Bay Nordic Trails are doing all we can to keep our facility open for you! We’ve kept our 2020/2021 membership and day rates the same as last year. We know that people may have experienced income interruption. Skiing and snowshoeing will be some of the safest outdoor activities you can do and we want you to be able to enjoy the trails at Kamview and the Parks this year.
We still need to raise funds for large projects going on this year. A new septic system for the chalet and a new snow machine for grooming at Kakabeka Falls Provincial Park are the two big ones! If you’ve ever been to Kamview’s annual gala, you’ll know that the silent and live auctions were a big deal. There were always great items to bid on and the result was a real boost to Kamview’s fundraising effort.
The auction this year is going online just in time for Christmas shopping and will feature some big and small items. The auction is scheduled to open November 1, 2020 and run for 3 weeks.
As with the gala’s auction, we are asking all of our talented and generous members to donate to the cause. Showcase your craftsmanship with a homemade item, purchase and donate a commercially produced (new only!) item, or offer an experience that someone or a group will enjoy. Delivery date of physical items will be in late November. Experiential items can be negotiated with the successful bidder.
To offer an item or experience, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and describe what it is you are offering (and a photo if it’s available) and a suggested minimum bid. Please include a contact name and phone number. We will get in touch with you to arrange either pickup or drop off.
Thank you for your consideration and support,
TBNT Board of Directors and Staff
