We are excited to announce that our trails are drying out nicely (although there are still wet, muddy, icy patches out there!) and folks are welcome to use them for hiking/walking/running as of Saturday, April 17. No biking allowed.
You will be using our trails at your own risk – our staff are not always on site. Please make sure someone knows where you are going and when you are expected to return. Carry a cell phone. Our trail map is available to download here!
Dogs:
We love to see your 4-legged friends enjoying the trails with you! What we don’t like is seeing the poop they/you leave behind! In fact, we are close to deciding that dogs will not be permitted if your actions don’t change. You are welcome to “flick with a stick”…if your dog poops on a trail, find a sturdy stick and flick it well off the trail and into the surrounding bush. If you bring poop bags, you must bag the poop and bring it home with you. We do NOT provide trash cans along the trails or at the chalet for poop bags. And we certainly do not appreciate you leaving the bags along the trails, in the bush, in the outhouses, at the chalet, or in the parking lot.  EVEN IF THEY ARE BIODEGRADABLE –  DO NOT LEAVE THEM ANYWHERE ON OUR PROPERTY! Â
Donation Box:
There is a fee box set up near the chalet. Please help us cover the cost of spring and summer maintenance of our trails! Our trails don’t mow themselves! The box is emptied regularly.
Trail Maintenance:
Our trail manager could be out on the trails at anytime working with equipment including a chainsaw. If you hear or see equipment, please avoid those trails and take another route! You may not be seen or heard as you approach if equipment is running. Stay away!
Covid-19 Reminders:
- You must carry a mask with you at all times while on our trails
- You must wear a mask at all times in the parking lot, and any time on the trails when social distancing becomes difficult
- If you are on our trails with folks who are not part of your household, physical distancing is required and outdoor social gatherings must be 5 people or less during the current province wide shut down
- No gathering in our parking lot or near the chalet
Thank you for your cooperation! We are so pleased to be able to keep our trails open for you! Sincerely,
The Kamview Crew
