I would like to take a moment to put everyone’s mind at ease for the up and coming ski season. As everyone knows the COVID-19 pandemic has made life very challenging and different from the norm!
Here at Kamview we are working hard to get things ready for the ski season and it is going to be “Super Choice”! Cross country skiing and snowshoeing are the safest winter sports going. And our rates are staying the same as last year…no fee increases!
The chalet will be open but following government COVID-19 protocols to keep participants and staff safe! This includes the mandatory wearing of masks and the use of hand sanitizer that will be available at all entrances. More info coming soon regarding the use of washrooms, change rooms and showers.
To alleviate congestion on busy days, an 80’ x 25’ greenhouse (donated by Hill’s Greenhouses) will be constructed. It will NOT be heated, but there will be benches.
A brand new outhouse will be built near the chalet and a second one will be built in the stadium!
If COVID-19 flares up again and we are forced to close the chalet, I will continue grooming all trails unless government health officials say different. Changing for skiing will be like it was in the old days…in your car.
If we are forced to shut down completely, we will offer a COVID-19 prorated credit towards next Season’s Pass or prorated refund.
Credits and refunds will be issued at the end of the 2020/2021 season upon written request only.
